ARTIST INFO
Kenneth Bauer is a music composer for media (scores for movies, television, commercials, documentaries and videos). His background is rich and varied as an arranger, composer, orchestrator, conductor, music copyist, performer, music publisher and music educator. Kenneth owns and operates his music studio in
Burbank, California, where he keeps busy composing music in all styles and periods.
Even though he has over 200 published works, Kenneth is very much at home scoring for films as well and is quite excited to have just finished scoring music for the
new film documentary, The Hidden Dream, produced by Lilies and Ravens International. The film chronicles the Filipino experience with America from World War II until the present. He is now moving on to other film projects, such as the film noir entitled Blackout, which will give him an opportunity to craft music in the style of
the greats like Bernard Herrmann, Miklos Rozsa, and Dimitri Tiomkin.
Kenneth credits his ability to score and orchestrate in varied styles in part because of the varied backgrounds of his master teachers including Byong-Kon Kim, H. David Caffey, John Paul Clark (protégé of Nadia Boulanger), Peter Alexander, John Kennedy and Jeff Benedict. Even though he owns and operates his notated music publication company (Ken Bauer Productions is distributed exclusively by David E. Smith, LLC); Kenneth’s main focus these days is film scoring and he is always interested in interesting films projects to score.
